History of WSD
WSD was incorporated under the New Zealand Companies Act 1993 on 10 August 1999 under the name Capital and Asset Management Limited.
WSD was initially authorized in 1999 by the New Zealand Securities Commission under the Securities Markets Act 1988 and was also an authorized Introducing Broker with the New Zealand Futures & Options Exchange. At this time its activities were limited to providing futures advice and broking.
In October 2005, the company applied to New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) for authorization to become a Futures and Options Participant that could hold client funds and offer full broking services. This authorization was granted on 24 January 2006. WSD began its operations as a full Futures and Options Participant.
